Our story

A group of teachers discussing work

The young people we met said that adults did not always remember to ask young people what they think.

Some young people found it hard to say what their ideas were. They were not used to being asked.

But the young people we met wanted to tell us what they thought. They were pleased to be asked about their experiences and their ideas. They wanted people to listen. They wanted to do something to make things better at school or college.

We say:

  • Schools and colleges should help young people to get their ideas across.
  1. University of Cambridge
  2. Big Lottery Fund
