Our story

Poster showing photographs of the college staff

All the young people we spoke to said they got worried when things changed. The worst thing was not knowing what was going to happen. Young people wanted to know all about where they were going next when they moved to a new class or school or college –or when they left college.

Some young people had been given chances to visit the new places – a different class, a new school or college or a work placement. This made them feel much better. They liked to hear what it was like in the new place from other young people. It helped to know what to do and who to ask for help.

We suggest:

  • Schools and colleges should give young people a big part in planning for change.
